Our specialized program for middle school youth integrates gardening as a transformative educational tool combining Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and STEAM benchmarks to foster a deep connection between nature, science, and self-awareness.
Each week, students engaged in high-vibrational activities that connected Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Emotional Intelligence through the garden. From planting seeds to understanding water systems and plant anatomy, this immersive curriculum nurtured both academic growth and personal well-being.
Participants explored:
Nutrition and food sustainability
The power and properties of water
How to grow and care for their own food
Mind-body awareness and mental wellness
This initiative provided practical skills while addressing urgent community issues such as mental health, food insecurity, and environmental sustainability empowering youth to become mindful stewards of both their inner world and the earth.
